Geyserville Guide

Geyservill May Day Celebration

Children doing the May Pole Dance

Just six miles north of Healdsburg is the hamlet of Geyserville. Bob Santucci sells Geyserville Real Estate and can help you with your next transaction. Bob has been a member of the Geyserville Chamber of Commerce for several years and stays connected with this tight knit community. The monthly dinner meetings sponsored by the Chamber are amazing, they are a must do if you are in the area. You will never find a town with more of a sense of community than here. It is a small town with a huge heart.

There is no shortage of scenery in Geyserville. The mountains to the east and north to Asti are just like the mountains that you would find in Northern Italy. More on that later.

In downtown you will find several restaurants, Catelli’s, Hoffman House and Diavola with Francis Ford Coppola just to the south of town. Geyserville is also the home to River Rocks casino a popular destination for many. While in Geyserville stop by Bosworth’s General Store. If you like to chat with the locals then this is the place for you. In fact pop in to any of the shops in town and pay a visit they are all wonderful like the coffee shop Geyserville Mud, Route 128 Winery, Terroirs tasting room and Locals tasting room. Try them all you will be surprised. The wine makers at these places are very humble and the resumes are world class.

If you take Canyon Road out of Geyserville it will land you in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley. My favorite place to stop on the way is Pedroncelli Winery. Try their Zin Rose with a scoop of rainbow sherbet on a hot day for a real treat. If you were to go north on highway 101 you would find your way on the road to the village of Asti. It is known in the past as Italian Swiss Colony. It was founded in 1881 by Andrea Sbarbaro. He established two villages and they were home to thousands of Italian emigrants. They would work the fields, get established in America and move to the bigger cities to become major leaders in building California. In the 1950’s Asti was the second most visited destination in California behind Disneyland.

I hope that you enjoy your visit to Geyserville, there is more than meets your eye so slow down and enjoy the journey!
